Spot the second location of your choice and then left-click to place the second point. The cartographic boundary files are available in shapefile and Keyhole Markup Language (KML) format. These boundary files are specifically designed for small scale thematic mapping. Now, hover around the global and when you spot a location you are looking for, left click on the mouse to place a point. The cartographic boundary files are simplified representations of selected geographic areas from the Census Bureau’s MAF/TIGER geographic database. You can confirm this if you see your cursor turn into a crosshair-like icon. Now, from the toolbar, click on the ruler button to enable the line drawing feature.
